Has the distance between Cardiff and Blackpool shortened without anyone telling me?
Or maybe he might feel that he could make the move with his family now that his child is older (by six weeks).
Maybe we should put in a cheeky bid again for £1m now then another million if we avoid relegation - but no sell on percentage to Blackpool for when Barcelona come in for him the following season.
Other than that my view is that he can 'do one'

If the story is true, it means the stuff about not wanting to uproot his family was clearly a lie, buying time for bigger clubs to come in while still keeping us happy if all else failed.
I'd still take him, but on a greatly reduced wage to teach him a lesson. To use a completely made up figure that should in no way relate to his real wage - if we offered him 50k a week the first time, he'd take 30k this time and like it, or sod off.

You indeed have a point. The problem with signing players from Slovenia, Debnark and Korea is that the quality of the play at English level can be somewhat daunting to them. Kim is a great example of how given time they can still show their talent, but realistically in our first season in the premiership immediate performers would be a great help.davewebber65 wrote:out on my own here, yes i would take him as i believe he would be better than an import from across the other side of the world. come on mm sign him
Even when you sign players from league rivalling our own, like Medel from La Liga, the physicality and pace of the premiership can sometimes surprise.
Yup, I agree with what everyone has said - if that's possible.
I'd rather him than an unknown foreign "risk" but on reduced terms otherwise he can farrrrrrrk orrrrrrfff.

Given the absence of alternatives, definitely worth having.
Being realistic, we would all try to play for the 'biggest' club possible. Don't blame him for trying.
His Dad is a kent though.

I kind of agree with gster with my head, but heart says he can do one. It's really important for the fans of a football club to know that the players at the club actually want to play for the team and not just go there and 'settle' for the second best option.

If I was the owner of Blackpool I would be feeling a little mugged off as the lad is clearly going to wait for a so called bigger club to come in for him in Jan at a reduced fee.
That is why no one else has come in for him as he is not worth 8.5 mil (in my opinion).
Should have come to us for regular 1st team football, Hey Thomas … Shaun Wright- Phillips mate bench warmer and ruined his career.
Yours and Oyston’s loss!!!!
