On he evidence of the first half there ain't much chance of that happening! This could be 0-5 !
Great to see our national captain Ashley Williams having yet another stormer, what a weakness he is!

Well at least we can take having the Jacks below us this week as something to smile about. It won't last too long and they won't be below us at the end of the season but as long as we can find 3 who are then that is still all that matters.

Of a more immediate concern is the hope that Malky can still be active in the transfer market. We could do with a good week in that respect to make people more positive by Sunday.

That we have added 5 players and spent over £25m and yet i still believe we are 4 or 5 players who should go straight into the starting lineup short of having the personnel to be a solid mid table side shows just how hard it is going to be to get even 17th place.

My 'money is no object' shopping list -

Left Back
Experienced Centreback
Another starting/supporting right back (Depending on Brayford)
Defensive midfielder
Right winger
Another Targetman

I am confused by the purchase of Brayford and the subsequently allocation of the number 2 shirt to Connolly. Does Malky see Brayford as the back-up to Connolly? If so, he's spent far too much time in the sun without a hat on this summer........Shocked

I really hope Brayford is carrying a knock none of us know about, because the only way he could be worse than Connolly was today is if he forgot which goal to score in and put ten past Marshall. And even then it would be close.

If Malky has overestimated Brayfords ability, he's now done it twice in two years.

Could well be, if the allocation of squad numbers is at all significant. Brayford is supposed to be an attacking FB, but it seems that his inevitable final ball is a low cut back into the box, rather than any sort of deep cross or other variation.

Ironically, City's best chance yesterday came from your hero, Connolly, doing just that, i.e. cutting the ball back for Whitts, whose scuffed shot was put over the top by Maynard.

That's the thing, those of us impatient with Makys slow adaption to the transfer market were shot down by people defending Malky's slow methodolical approach, where apparently he carefully dossiers every player he signs for months. If that's the case, and Brayford isn't the player he wanted, what exactly was he watching for so long?
