Rumour on Twitter that he's agreed a loan move, just waiting on the medical.
It is, sort of.
He'd be a great addition but do we REEEEAAALLY need another striker when there are other areas of the squad (THE FREAKIN' DEFENCE!) that need more attention?
We already have Cornelius, Maynard, Campbell, Mason, Gestede, Smith, Velcro and Bellamy to fill one, maybe two berths.
In defence, we have Hudson, Turner, SuperKev, Taylor, Connolly, Lappin and Nugent to fill four - and I'm not wholly confident in at least three of those.
Just saying.

Especially when he has such a poor record as Oliviera has, I'm still not impressed
We need a right back and a centreback, desperately. We also preferably need a defensive midfielder if a 4-5-1 like formation is being deployed.

C'mon guys, in Malky we trust! Clearly Gestede, Mason and some other are deemed not good enough or too raw to be involved regularly this season.
Oliveira should do well playing off Cornelius or possibly even as a wide forward due to his trickery.
And I do believe we are bringing defenders in, but in true Malky style, it isn't hitting the headlines.
Finally, SteWells...you had better be at the BBQ later

Joining Cardiff on a season-long loan, according to the Portuguese Daily Record:

Scoring goals from open play was always going to be the problem for us. We can't rely on the set pieces as we did last year, so I welcome more striking options.
As SS says, I hope moves are afoot to strengthen the defence significantly as well.

Thank god for that, I was beginning to think Malky had a habit of hiring one striker a season that doesn't actually score. Miller in 11-12, Helguson 12-13, Oliviera this season?
I'd genuinely prefer Darren Bent. And I hate Darren Bent.

As I just said, I'd prefer not to sign him. Nonetheless though if we do lose him to Stoke, that means of the five targets we know Malky was interested in, he's lost four of them. Aiming too high?

Not aiming high, just being realistic about the quality needed to remain / succeed in the Premier League. What worries me is Malky's failure in attracting such players. I don't think Gus Poyet would have such problems......
