Most remixes are, let's be honest, B-side filler but just occasionally there's a real corker that slips through the net, does something different with the song or - heaven forbid -actually improves on the original. Time to share them publicly like your dirty laundry
This one will probably be sacrilege in most people's eyes, but it's an Aphex Twin reworking of Bowie's 'Heroes'. Gives a completely different feel to the song, slightly surreal yet epic. Hope you like...

This is without question my FAVOURITE remix ever. I'm not a fan of the Manics at all but this reworking of 'If You Tolerate This Ridiculous Title Even More Pretentious Ones Will Be Next' by David Holmes makes it a completely different bag of fish, so to, err, speak.
It's ten minutes long but stick with it as it is glorious

Hi Arkay. I have been busy going through the first few boxes of my record collection and adding as many as i can find to my new spotify account (guilty pleasures and embarassing moments hidden away from prying eyes ). My vinyl will be disappearing soon except for a few that i have the space to keep and chosen either by sentimental value or the fact i can't find the equivalent on CD now.
I found a number of 12 inch singles amongst them including some strange Bruce Springsteen ones but not sure any jump out at me at the moment as being particularly good. I will scour my library though for good additions to post - just not tonight.
Be prepared though that with all this digging through my old music my music threads might get a little retro and i might just revive one of those guilty pleasure threads as i now have enough that i discovered / remembered to make it a 4 pager just on my own contributions.

I will listen to his remix of the Manics then it is off to bed

Here you go.....
Nice work G-Ster.
That U2 Perfecto mix takes me right back
There's a great Soulsavers remix of Satellites by Doves that I wanted to link but sadly I can't find it anywhere online. Worth cheking out if you can find it. Instead, I offer this:

If I'm honest I don't really listen to that many remixes, as Arks said most tend to be b-sides/filler anyway, but off the top of my head I can think of one that stands out. Chemical Brothers remixing Swastika Eyes, made the album too...
