Length of sentence because it was manslaughter rather than murder?

I was lead to believe its life with a minimum of 15 years. The man will not be released in 15 years time. Especially after his little performance of late and in the court. You're right though, a shameful sentence and very much altered by it being charged as manslaughter rather than murder. This seems to be somewhere between the two, but there's no sentencing for that.

i agree with the sentiment, but we have to realize that he was only charged with manslaughter and not murder, albeit for 6 people

In a lot of the states in the US, you would serve a sentence per victim. So in this case, 6 consecutive sentences. We sadly don't seem to have the prison places to keep people locked up for longer.

NCB should have kept some of the coal mines open and we could have put them all underground and told them to "dig their way out of there". Come to think of it that could still be the way of solving our shortage of prisons. o/t Philpott Trial 1525230823 o/t Philpott Trial 1525230823

Appallingly lenient sentences for all three. They should have been sentenced per death then for arson then for trying to fit someone else up.
