If one band announcing their presence would make you spend a weekend in a muddy, piss-sodden field surrounded by a bunch of drug fuelled, hormonal teens, who would it be?

For me it'd be Rage Against The Machine. Would love to see them reform so I can see them live and I can't think of a better setting than the aforementioned scenario.

I should mention that they don't have to be living, I mean Tupac turned up at Coachella.

Yardbirds or Jellyfish... Stones greatest hits set would also get me going and that is a possibility... I would travel anywhere to see the future impossibility that is the The Jam

Any band that are no more Beatles, Clash, Nirvana and Hendrix experience

I have to say, that I think my days of standing in piss-soaked fields with a bunch of propa-nawty wankers are gone. The last gig I went to like that was The Stone Roses last summer, and in fairness, they probably WERE the only band left that I really wanted to see. So, score on that one. I just can't suffer it anymore - not even for The Beatles. I love music, I really do, think that's why I hate having to deal with the nobheads. Proper old fart these days.

Saying that, I would give my left testicle to see Underworld again - but only in an arena. I saw them at Brixton Academy a few years back and it was BY FAR one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Great atmosphere, great tunes, great dancing. Top night even if the bar staff did try and fleece me for a fiver (I had words with the Assistant Manager... Which one band would make you go to a festival? 904430666 )

This is a video of Born Slippy from that night and I'm slap bang in the middle of this crowd (you can probably see my gold chain and monkey forehead catching the light Which one band would make you go to a festival? 4228682415 ) and when it all kicks off again at about 3mins 30, it was just immense. Even if you don't really like their music, I'd recommend seeing them because they sure now how to put on a show.

I even managed to grab a snap of it which I now have blown up on my wall at home:

The bands that are around at the moment who I have't seen and would love to are The Shins and Arcade Fire. A smaller arena I'd go with The Shins, but as we're talking festivals Arcade Fire are the ones. Obviously bands I will never see such as The Smiths and The Clash and Led Zep would be on my list.

I havent got Glastonbury tickets this year, but I'm going to try and get them when they go on resale. With a wedding planned during the Glastonbury week next year this could well be my last festival...although I doubt it, I still love it.

Top choice Caldi Which one band would make you go to a festival? 1525230823 Saw them at Hyde Park a few years back on a bill with Mumford & Sons and Beirut. Wasn't sure how their music would translate to a big open air venue and apart from a slightly odd sound dynamic (due to location, not their fault) they were really very good and actually made me appreciate more of their lesser known tunes. Whether you rate them or not, Mumford & Sons were outstanding live too, as was Beirut (although their tunes lend themselves to much smaller, less raucous venues, I think).

My only other memory of that day was going to the toilet and realising I couldn't get back to Mrs Arkay or my mates as it was just too rammed and I couldn't find them. Ended up watching the whole of Arcade Fire on my own but it turned out I had the better view Which one band would make you go to a festival? 692773407 Oh, and also seeing a drunk, angry Australian woman chuck coke over anybody who came with 3 feet of her Which one band would make you go to a festival? 692773407

Ahh, that horrifying moment when you realise you can't get back to find your group, we've all been there Which one band would make you go to a festival? 692773407

Had it at Heaton Park for ST last year, but I luckily got on some strangers shoulders and located them!

I had the chance to see Arcade Fire after the Libs at Reading in 2010, but I wasn't really aware of them then. I've grown to love them since and would love to see them at a festival.
