hi campers!
it wasporridge for brekkers with Demerara sugar and after countless trips to the toilet (my ass must have known something was going to go wrong) I was ready for the off at 0900. I was well padded and defied the wind to get at my tender bod. So armed with my two spam rolls (love
the stuff), brandy, countless layers of clothing, mobile, wallet off I went. Bye hug for the mrs and woofer and down little stoke lane I go.

Arrived Bristol parkway, cashpoint, platform and the 0939 to Birmingham. There were some Chelsea fans there on the way to soton, thought about engaging in some banter but decided no as I was on my own!!!! Train arrives, find my seat and armed with a hot black coffee contemplates the day ahead. All the possibilities go through my mind and ring a mate who is going to watch the Merthyr match, tell him will text scores.

After arriving at brum and finding my new train away I go, but I am not alone. Quite a few city fans joined the train and we put right the imperfections in the squad over beer/lager/baileys/red wine and brandy. As we neared our destination a few posh fans got on the train and shut up as they did not have a lot to chat about. slowly made my way to the ground, god it’s a tip. Finished my last spam roll and said hello to all the opposition. Keeping city blue
chants went up and one clown had a red top on. Took some abuse from one kid for my red attire. Ignored him, did not see the point as it would fall on deaf ears.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx the last five minutes saw real city pressure and could have forced a draw at the death, but not to be.
back at the station bumped into those city chaps again and on the train the air was filled with despondency. Most know my views so no point in going over it all. At brum we were defiant to the end and changed trains, parted company to the strains of “we are top of the league, we are top of the league.” Other fans from other matches were at brum, they seemed just as pissed of so maybe they lost as well.
Rang the mrs
again passed cheltenham and byes to other fans traveling on to south wales.
Got a hug and a kiss from the mrs and a joyful leaping dog. Just had a cuppa

One of my favourite away trips, though one thing that struck me massively yesterday - I couldn't give a s**t about the result.

I can't recall ever seeing us lose and thinking 'oh, well'. In a way, losing to Blackburn on Monday would make the season more entertaining, so far it has been incredibly boring, which I guess is a credit to how strong we've been this season.
