Anyone seen it? What a weird page

There are loads of them popping up, There is a Barry one too, Someone said on there yesterday that apparently somebody in my sisters street is a drug dealer, If I had known that I would pop in and see her more often!

It started with Spotted Aberystwyth and the creator has been out a few times up here. Whether its the same person doing those pages I don't know but I just find it cringeworthy. Im banned from the Aberystwyth one which should come as no surprise given my rapport with the other forums. It is weird Bobby I agree, it seems to be full of people too scared to tell others what they feel which is depressing really and in my opinion just backs up what a nanny state Britain is.

Not on facebook - what are these pages all about then?

Its basically a Facebook page that allows people in the area to post about others in the area anonymously. So you send a message to the page creator who then posts it to the page under the pages name to keep your name anonymous.

So far it has been used mainly by people too scared to tell others they want to 'smash their back doors in', to vent frustration at other people, to tell others they are cheating or to tell other people they are cheating with someone, to abuse people and to to tell girls that they're the woman of their dreams.

....and they say chivalry is dead.

It started off somewhat harmlessly and innocent, with some quite comical posts. However now its just got vicious, with name dropping everywhere. Particularly the Barry one. Although I admit that's probably not the best example to use as most of its residents appear to have been seriously damaged by the nasty chemicals being given off by Dow Corning. Surely nobody can be born that way?

My favourite highlight was when someone linked me to the Cwmbran version where someone talked about wanting to 'smash the back doors in' of the underage girl who works at a sweet shop. It then got better when her mother showed up in the comments only to instead of bein completely outraged, proceeded to find it hilarious and link half of her family to the page to also find it funny.

Have a look its still there, you'll find yourself shaking your head in disbelief at some parents just like me.
