My 8 year old nephew is spending the night with us so I got out my old decks to entertain him... He was a natural and I was the king of crashing beats... I hope the little shite never makes it... Have you got any stories of unrealised dreams / bad family interactions

A bit of a potent mix indeed trash! You sound like a cool uncle. 
It does get a bit annoying when little kids grow up to be better at any and all sports than you.
I geninuely believed that I was going to grow up and change the world...not sure in what way though...perhaps eradicate world poverty and maybe war....these days I settle for buying fair trade and eating quiche respectively.
How sad it is that the world can crush your dreams.
