VTT off to hospital :(

Just been to Dr's as been having severe headaches, Like migraines (or vampires) u can't stand light, I feel as though the back of my head is goin to explode, the Dr wants to refer me to the hospital for tests as Not even painkillers are touching the pain, so god knows what's What just gotta wait for an app, has anyone had similer probs if so whay was outcome

It sounds like he wants to exclude meningitis mate if you are photosensitive.... Have you got a skin rash? The symptoms could be down to a number of conditions so don't worry too much just get yourself to hospital, I'm sure everything will be fine

No rashes, now but strangely enough few months bk I had a rash over chest legs and back which cleared with steroids cream

If it was anything to be concerned about you'd have the rash now so don't worry about anything you had previously.... P.s. I wouldn't declare too many other symptoms now as when you are back fit and well expect a battering on your mystery rash

I expect Apple have got an app for it, they have for most things! I've never had similar problems, although a friend of mine does suffer periodically from migraines, and they can be nasty buggers. Hopefully they'll find nothing too much to worry about, so stay positive and hope it goes OK. All the best!

There's viruses that can cause photo sensitivity, the common cold can do it too in some cases. The doctor is just doing the right thing and ruling out meningitis like VT said or other nastier things that can be the cause. Doctors are very good at making you worry unessecerily, I was once told my intense dizziness was an extreme case of vertigo that would potentially need lifelong medication and ban me from things like driving forever - when it in fact it was just a virus that had affected my inner ear.

Yup, don't worry. If they're asking you to wait for an appointment then it is obviously not super urgent so that rules out meningitis (that's a straight to intensive care jobby). I get migraines through back pain, nothing serious but very annoying. Hopefully, it won't be anything too bad for you either. Good luck.
