If we can put a team formerly as formidable as Blackburn to the sword as ruthlessly efficiently as we did last night, what do you think we're going to do to bottom of the league Peterborough?

If the exact same team put in the exact same performance, it could easily be double figures, really...

Still basking in the warm glow of last night...

I'll deal with the absence of Hudson and the ease in which we conceded a goal against the run of play and the ensuing mini wobble for Thursday or Friday next week... and Im also deferring the worry and deep anxiety associated with meeting a fully stetsoned up Tache in 'Spoons Overreaction time! 692773407

So for now I'm with you and my early prediction is 14-0 City with Fred Keenor's statue coming off the plinth for a stunning overhead bicycle kick for the final goal Overreaction time! 833362651

I shall temper your optimism with some uncalled for criticism of yesterday's performance.

Did Cowie stay in the dressing room playing cards for the second half?

Blackburn looked competitive for about three and a half minutes before scoring. It took us forty minutes of dominance to get our first goal.

Yet another superhero performance from Hudson. Yet another hapless local police officer totally indebted to the superhero for saving his town performance from Turner. Guess which one won't be there Saturday.

We only managed four shots on target.

Peterborough are our bogey side

I will be sat in the corporate area enjoying a meal and the company of good people some of whom, excuse the oxymoron, are Jacks. I'll have nowhere to hide if we blow it.

A completely diffrent game imo,Blackburn wanted to win the game last night and opened up against us and as you said we put them to the sword.

Peterborough will have 11 players behind the ball at all times so it will be harder to get clear cut chances so im going for a 1-0 win or it could be 2.

You're completely right, Blackburn were a team that despite their bad form do have the calibre to attempt to take us head on, and we made them look very silly luckily. Peterborough on the other hand should be very much aware attacking us head on would be suicidal. A draw will be a result for them, so they'll be happy to defend for 90 minutes.

It's a tactic we're going to have to get used to and learn how to overcome however. The more impressive we are, the less likely anyone especially in the bottom half will want to take us on head to head.

I think your right Red614. Yes Blackburn weren't that good, but our pace, movement and attitude were superb last night. The best City performance I've seen this season. Whether Peterborough park the bus or not, a performance like this will tear them apart next Saturday.

Immediately after half time; it was the football equivalent of the batsman looking set for a century getting out first ball after drinks. Maybe only being 1-0 up after such a period of dominance is a function of losing Maynard to injury. It's a puzzle.

We should be thrashing Posh.

May I suggest behind the curtains... or in the ladies... behind the (wipe free) curtains in the ladies... bring your own curtains for a considered but yet spontaneous 'hiding behind the curtains'™ option...

Kamuza my respect for you knows no bounds but WHY break bread with a JB?
