My only concern about Hudson is ...

That there would have been a few scouts and managers from the PL watching the game last night and after such an accomplished performance, they may start to take a little more interest in him between now and January.
Malky would clearly not let him go anywhere, unless a ridiculous offer came in. But I can see a bid from the likes of Everton, Newcastle,Aston Villa or a team of similar standing, potentially unsettling Hudson, which would be a huge disaster.
He's not getting any younger and his dream would surely be to play at the highest level and if Cardiff don't do it this year, would we deny him that opportunity?

...did you just put Newcastle, Everton and...Aston Villa?.... On the same level?
Teasing aside, I do see your point. I'm hoping that premiership scouts impressed by his recent amazing form would check out some of our matches in previous years, when he was definetely prone to some match changing mistakes.

He is 30 so doubt that anyone would bother splashing the cash on him. Some sides are even wary of spending money on youngsters who can grow and become better.
Needless to say, Hudson is definitely good enough. However, he can achieve more here than he can at a lower/mid team Premiership club. Take Cardiff up and become a legend or finish mid table with Stoke in the Premiership? Its a no brainer.
