It was too dangerous for me they would have needed Fire Brigade cutting equipment, 350 gallons of A neg and the world of leather emergency sofa team on standby to make a 3 piece suite out of the cast offs

No needle? Are you seriously contemplating somebody cutting into your scrotum without anaesthetic? I suppose they could tie you down and you could bite on a stick
I've had it done. GP did it. No problems at all. Into the surgery, 15 min procedure, few stitches, big pad in your pants, a bit of bruising, check it did the job and bob's your uncle

Had it years ago, brilliant - one less thing to worry about!
Mine was done in a little clinic- loads of blokes sitting around in dressing gowns biting their nails and their wives sitting around trying not to laugh.
I was lying there thinking "I bet this is really going to hurt" and the doc said "there you go, all done". Nothing to it!
That said, make sure you follow their advice and have a couple of days in bed afterwards. Some friends went straight back to work, and without going into details it wasn't pretty!

Watford General.
One of my Vas Deferens was like a piece of old rope; felt like they were pulling red hot wires out of my right leg.
Never sweated so much in my life as the right leg was the first snip!
Left leg was painless.
"No Needle?" --
There was music playing in the background - "Rod Stewart - The First Cut is the Deepest" I kid you not!!
Spent the next day drinking in the pub; no pain, no swelling, all fine.

This is the very reason why the Tonkers colours (as seen on the badge left) are black and orange, as a good proportion of our regular squad of inept mediocrity had had the snip - black being the alleged colour of testosterone and orange symbolising the seedless jaffa.
I remain on the black side, so I can't offer much advice other than to say it hasn't affected squad performance in anyway - we all remain equally inept.

When I said no needle I read somewhere that you can have alternative pain relief, an air jet or something. I have also been told by a friend of mine who is a nurse that they get quite a few men into them that have had it done by the local quack, and end up with massive swollen nadgers.

What, they shoot a air jet up your @rse to take your mid off the snip? I was grateful mine was done in hospital by a proper surgeon, given what happened, rather than by Dr. Hackemof in his local surgery.

I had mine done in the Heath years ago and had a similar experience. After a minute or two hacking away with the pruning shears, the surgeon asked if it was ok to put some music on. I said yes and Big Girls Don't Cry started playing! The quack and the two nurses fell about laughing.
