There seems to be a collective amnesia about our league cup tie at Northampton on Tuesday night. I wonder what team Malky will put out. Presumably like the early rounds last season we will put out a mix of fringe, youth and one or two experienced players.

As brilliant as the cup run was last season, there is little doubt it affected our league form, so I won't be shedding a tear if we make an exit in the first round.

Whitts, Ralls, Conway & Mutch can still boss the midfield. We should also have our first choice defence. It's up front that we just dont have ANY options.

Lewis; Kev, Huds, Turner/Keinan Taylor; Conway, Whitts, Ralls, Mutch, St Luce; Jarvis; Subs: Parrish, Nugent, Oshilaja, Darko, O'Sullivan, John & somebody else!

I'll be there. Nothing like a good cup run, we seen last year how well it helped our side bond in the early months of the season.

Yeah but we also saw how a good cup ruined our promotion challenge. For me, this season really is about the league.

Mason is suposed to be fit so Malky may give him a run out.Like the previous posters I'd rather Malky kept most of his starting line up fresh for Friday night.I liked what I saw on Saturday though First game of the season 1525230823

I totally agree that the league is what matters, but a game like this at this stage in the season is too good an opportunity to waste. Pick a team of those fighting for a first team spot and eager to impress - see how they perform.

Pick a strong team Malky. Get a win. Build some confidence. This year we have a stronger squad so no need to rest anyone just yet. Nice to see the Terriers struggling tonight and Dave Jones too!
