SABnzbd users - some advice needed

I've got a 60Mbps download speed but downloads through SABnzbd only ever come down at around 7MB/s
I'm not sure if I've got my servers config set up properly, I've split up my connections onto the 3 different servers so it's like this:
ssl-eu.astraweb.com 6 connections
ssl-us.astraweb.com 7 connections
ssl.astraweb.com 7 connections
All of them are on SSL.
Is that what you're supposed to do or do you have all the connections on one server? I think I tried that once when I set it up and I kept getting warnings about having too many connections.

You have a 60 mega bits per second download speed.
You are downloading at around 7 mega bytes per second.
There are 8 bits in each byte.
Therefore, you multiply 7 mega bytes per second by 8 and you get your speed as 56 mega bits per second.
Companies advertise as megabits per second because its the high numbers game of attractiveness.
Someone with a 100mbps connection will only ever be able to download at 12megabytes per second max because of the technical restrictions etc plus this would probably be lower due to network issues.
Once had a guy before telling me he was downloading at 8megabytes per second on a 20 megabits per second connection. I ignored the guy for the rest of the night knowing he was chatting out of his arse because 1) its mathematically impossible and 2) in terms of networking its impossible because of the structure of a byte.
There are 8 bits in a byte. If you divide down a megabyte and a megabit then you get 8 bits to 1 byte.
Mega M 2^20 = 1,048,576
The speed you are getting is about right to be honest.
