Whenever I return to the main messageboard on this site I have to wait a good few seconds for the advert at the top to load up before I can scroll down.
Is there any reason why it takes so long for the ads to load? Happens at home, work and on my phone so I don't think it's to do with my setup.
Anyone else having this problem? Anything that can be done about it?
On the plus side, my Nexus7 is on a van somewhere between Llantrisant and my house. On the downside I'm not in and neither is my wife so I'll have to drive to Llantrisant tomorrow evening to collect it. Grrr.
I'm not telling you where I live.

I had this a couple of days ago on my work pc (which will only allow IE7 for some stupid reason) with the social media buttons slowing everything up...
When the pages load - do the buttons also lag?
Does anyone else experiencing problems?
update: blimey - just tried it on IE9 and I had exactly the same problem. Has this just started officer or has it always been slow for you?

In the last week or so, I've been away so thought it was something to do with my phone. Seems it's definitely the social media thingies as it hung on the google one just now, it seems it loads the advert after though so that's why I thought it was the advert..

I also have this problem, on my iPhone via both Safari and Chrome. I can't scroll down for at least ten seconds whenever i load a thread, and straight after I post a comment the screen rapidly resizes itself constantly for up to thirty seconds sometimes.

I think Rhys needs to get another tenner off Tan so we can get rid of the adverts!

I've removed the social media buttons for a minute - does this speed things up?

Right - the side panel is being a bit mischievous!
I think that I have solved the problem though - how about now?

Blimey - I'm glad you said something crabtree to be honest as I was completely unaware of the slow down that some have been experiencing.
Let's get this show back on the road then!

Any idea how I can get my downloadable porn to freeze and then flicker rapidly at the best bits
