First of, this isn't a transfer rumour. I haven't heard anything linking us with him, my attention was just sparked by Dave Jones stating he'd be interesting in signing him.
The man is obviously a good footballer, many big premiership teams have proven he can play a part with them. But I couldn't personally sign him because of his terrible attitude and the fact he's a ban waiting to happen. But would you sign him?
Don't answer 'he's not a Malky player' or any of the like, this isn't a genuine Cardiff consideration, this could be for any team.

No chance! Terrible attitude and like you said, he'll be banned for 3 games before you know it. The teams he has played for have lost so many points over the years from his sending offs and next season we simply couldn't afford that.

Yes I would sign Barton if I was rich like the Malaysians. Then I'd stick him in the reserves to rot. Being a billionaire I would not care about the money. I would however be happy I have kept him from playing football for other clubs and bother other players trying to get on with their profession.
