The pace in the side on Saturday was amazing and our fitness levels meant we we're chasing right up to the final whistl. I have a feeling that if whitts was still in the squad he would somehow slow the play right down

The slower pace of play was also noticable when Pilkington played on Tuesday. Can't see him being in the plans for a much higher tempo game plan.

We've been a slow team for a very, very long time. Probably the closest to fixing that in our PL days but even then we were still relying on Noone, Kenwyne Jones, a half arsed Zaha who didn't want to run etc. Really glad to seed it being fixed - pace and energy are two of the most critical traits in any team that wants to win something.
