Warnock wants to give the cup a good go... I expect squad rotation and fringe players to take part, but I also expect a comfortable Cardiff win 3-1 (ward x2 Mendez-Laing)

It depends who the fringe players are. We have injuries, so the squad is limited and If there are a few youngsters like Mark Harris, then Pompey will give City a good game, but 2 - 0 City...... probably too much fire power on the bench.
Be good to see Ward get going.

I forgot it was a cup game and was about to panic about Zohore not even making the squad meaning he might be leaving.
Cough.

A rather uninspiring first half. Halford may be versatile but he's not a right back! Ward missed with a free header immediately before Pompey scored. Kennedy looking dangerous on occasions.

Went to collect a ball near the goal line but it ran out of the area and he pulled one of their players down from behind when he got there first. Not red because not a goal scoring chance.

On to the next round we go! Apparently Kennedy played really well... hopefully Neil takes note
Also Mendez-Laing delivered the goods..scored shortly after coming on and nearly scoring the winner towards the end, this lad might do alright for a supposed 'squad player'.

Kennedy was very good but Mendez-Laing was even better when he came on. I remember somebody on here saying what a good signing he was when others were grumbling about free transfers - oh hang on, I said it! Hoillett also showed up well against a tiring defence. We definitely don't need wingers. Meite once again did his Bambi on ice impersonation and missed three good chances. Pilkington was non existent and rightly replaced at half time.

Sounds like a deserved win after a poor first half. Not sure about Pilkington of late. He could well be one, like Craig Noone, who needs a fresh challenge.
