According to Wales Online, Warnock isn't out of the running for Hayes. The complication has been that we were in pole position and looked likely to sign him only for Celtic to step in at the last moment.

The article also says that Warnock has been away for a few days and is due back soon, which I'd guess may result in the confirmation of a signing or two...
