The FIFA Goal That Just Wouldn't Go In

I feel the pain.
I started a new FM17 game last week and shunned my usual "take-Cardiff-to-unconquerable-global-domination" style game in favour of being unemployed and working my way up. Got a job at Sutton Utd fighting relegation from the VNL and never have I seen a team hit the post or miss as many open goals as that useless bunch of turds. It's like having a team of Emile Heskey's but...without the "talent"

Slumdog Snr always used to find the most pathetic, tiny club with a budget that is negative and only one stand with no seating then spend 40 game seasons fighting until he managed to get them into the football league.
I used to go for the Arkay game, Cardiff City and global domination. I will admit that the domination didn't happen frequently however.
The problem I'm discovering with Sutton is that half their first team are loaners (Rushian Hepburn-Murphy from Villa being the pick of the bunch) and all the contracted players have deals that expire this season. With a bank balance of -500k and a Chairman who is certain I have "adequate resources" there's no money for renewals let alone new signings, so I'll end up with zero players come the post-season. Looks like I'll be picking myself to play in all eleven positions come the 2018 season.
Makes you appreciate just how tight a ship non-league clubs have to run and how up against it they really are.

That always used to make me laugh...'adequate resources' while heavily in debt and all the players looking to leave while you are expected to have an outside push for promotion
