Rob Phillips is a journalist known colloquially as a hack. I suspect that Tache is a criminal otherwise known as a hacker.

Rathers strange rumours on Twitter today putting Warnock as an outside bet for the Sunderland job. I don't think there's much in that in truth but IF they did come in for him it would be quite the blow for City as there's no way we could compete with their wages.

Would be difficult to compete with Sunderland, but while they will make the right noises about an instant return the the premiership, I'm not convinced that it will be backed up financially. They won't commit in the same way that Newcastle did, and frankly I think this will be more of the Villa approach which if their not careful could see the slide continue. As far as warnock is concerned, his talks with Tan will be crucial, he knows what he wants/needs and if Tan is wise he will go some way to supporting that, I fear that Tan again will promise and then fail to deliver. We will see.

I think Warnock would be disinterested in the Sunderland job. His house is in Plymouth and his wife, who is in remission for cancer, lives there so the Cardiff job is a lot closer! I think Warnock probably feels that he has the respect of the City board and can do what he likes to the club structure, freedoms he wouldn't get at Sunderland

Why take the Sunderland job? When you look at it, I don't think anyone in a number of seasons has had more than 18 months in the role. It's a poisoned job. Does Warnock want that headache so close to retirement? I doubt it very much. I personally think he could get a nice cushy part-time directors position at City mediating between the board and any new manager when he retires if he stays
