New Social Media Push

Hey folks

It's great to see the forum being used again - my hope is that it will get busier with old and new members alike getting stuck in as the season gets nearer.

In the meantime, we are going to be pushing Facebook and Twitter to get the forum out there a bit more.

Arkay is going have a dabble in Twitter and Tache and myself will have a little go at Facebook.

So if you use either platform, felt free to tag, retweet or share posts and generally interact with the forum- that would be awesome.

Unfortunately I no longer use Facebook as people spent my time off messaging me asking for annual leave or getting pissed on nights out then messaging me to inform me that I was s**t at my job at 2:30 in the morning. I don't mind feedback, but not when I'm asleep.

I also gave up twitter after tweeting that Victor Wanyama preferred a move to City over Southampton because we offered more wages but Saints were prepared to pay a bigger fee, then had taxi drivers and students that supported the Saints tweeting me abuse for weeks.

Yeeeeah, that's pretty much how social media is...

Can't say I'm a huge fan or that I miss it hugely. Twitter is useful for transfer rumours and is ok provided you keep your tweets locked I'd imagine

I read more than I post on Twitter, that's how I avoid the crazies

Twitter is just a bit confusing to me...don't really get how it all works. Why can't the company seem to get a handle on all the trolls?

It was only after I set that one up that I discovered the old one but never mind - a fresh start and all that.

It's a work in progress at the moment and I'll try and devote as much time as I can to generate some followers and get some electronic footfall towards the forum. You guys can all help though with the content side of things though by keeping the forum busy and POSTING SOME INTERESTING STUFF FOR A DAMN CHANGE!

What's not interesting about baby's biting fingers, the merits of postal voting and monkey pimping? Isn't that all the average football fan wants?
