Even without the new players Warnock wants, City have a chance to take points from this one.  Brentford are well up the table, but have lost 6 of the last 10 and are on a bit of a slide.

There can be no doubting the spirit and efforts of Warnock's teams, but like previous managers individual player errors are letting him down.  I would prefer to see a back line of Peltier, Manga, Connolly and Bennett.

Ever optimistic, I will take City to breeze through this one 2 - 0, with big Ken on the scoresheet!

Murphy, Connolly, Morrison, Manga, Peltier, Gunnarsson, Ralls, Whittingham, Bennett, Hoilett, Zohore

Subs: Wilson, O’Keefe, Lambert, Pilkington, Noone, Harris, Huws

Three left sided midfielders there, so presumably Hoilett will be playing mainly on the right No defenders on the bench, but flexibily with Connolly and Bennett starting.

Going okay at half time. Whitts off, presumably injured.

Morrison sounds shaky at the back.........again.....

Good game in the end. Will write up more tomorrow when I'm not half cut. Bullet points though - fair result, Ralls and Murphy did well but still shaky at the back. One or two more additions should do City and see them safe.

Think it was a 3-5-2 today as well.

Or like a 3-4-1-1 or something.

It seems that all of a sudden defense is more of a problem than the striking department. We are finally creating and scoring from open play, but gifting soft goals when we should be playing to what, recently, has been our strengths.
