Chris Coleman has appointed John Hartson to the Welsh team coaching staff.
Good appointment I think - plenty of passhun which Wales don't always seem to have.

Although he is a Jack, he's always come across as a sensible, non biased type pundit whenever I've heard in on the Radio, TV or written media.

Wish I was confident about the upcoming qualifiers.
I'm looking forward to some good away trips more than the football which isn't right is it?

My question is - has he actually got any coaching experience? I'm not sure he has and I hope it's not just another favour to a mate

He hasn't. Another case of jobs for the boys.

agree with the last two posts,
coleman is an arrogant poor manager,
hartson is a prick, he only got on tv because of his health problems
before that they couldnt stand him.
with these to running the show wales are doomed !

He's only acting how we'd all want a local homegrown City legend to act
Think he's a very decent bloke. Took some awful s**t off us playing for West Brom at NP, and it ruined his night leading to him being taken off but he took it in the right way and said it was a nightmare down there with a smile on his face.
He's also a living testament to the high level of cancer treatment available today.

I don't think having Hartson on board is a bad thing, you can't fault his desire to see Welsh football to succeed, he has got his coaching badges, but I assume he will not be a first team coach but be used in another capacity.

Roll him up against a door and I'm sure he'd make a wonderful draught excluder

I was thinking perhaps he could make the tea, drive the coach, arrange the xmas knees up all that sort of thing. He'd be s**t hot at all that. He looks like he'd be good at darts too, that must count for something.
