You probably all know by now, but A significant portion of Blackpools fans stormed the pitchx before the start of the second half of their match against Huddersfield as occupied the centre circle to prevent the game restarting. The referee tried to regain control but eventually concerned, postponing the match. Chris Powell however has expressed concern as to how that would be possible, with large portions of his squad leaving for summer holidays on Tuesday.

What do you think? The away fans travelled nearly 70 miles to get there and only got half a match of football, Id certainly feel hard done by regardless of how pointless the final result was for both sides. The Blackpool board most definetely deserve the enbersssment though, and they could shift the pressure by offering to refund all of the Huddersfield ticket costs. This is Oyston however, who doesn't even sound like he would pay for his own drinks.

one has to feel a degree of sympathy for the away fans and what if huddersfield had been in with a shout of the play offs or threatened with relegation? could a pitch invasion be used as a method of avoiding such a thing? the football league has to force blackpool to replay the fixture asap even if it was as a walk over. if the players were off on holiday, tough. the league cannot be held to ransom.

having said that the blackpool fans have had a torrid couple of seasons and that has to be laid at the door of the oyston family. the league should have enforced ongoing major gound improvements. can one blame the fans for expressing their frustration at a crap facility and lack of inverstment in staff?

one further point red, is that there is a world of difference between the situation at blackpool and that at cardiff

3-0 abandonment result in favour of Huddersfield. A fine by the FA with proceeds being used to repay traveling fans.

But, of course, that won't happen...

The Huddersfield players are going on leave Dave, not Blackpools - but unfair to make them cancel when it wasn't even their fans causing the trouble. Not quite sure why you made the link to Cardiff when I didn't mention them once as well... Blackpools pitch invasion - justified or selfish? 3392635135

Agree with Arkay 100%.

I'm with the Blackpool fans on this one. They have an owner who is destroying the club. Ther is no real parallel with us, as Tan was lumping cash into the club as his part of the rebreand.

If the Blackpool directors have to fork out a fine, tough! A points deduction at the start of next season might hurt them, although on present evidence, I can't see Blackpool mounting much of a challenge on the pitch.

Ridiculous suggestion - much too sensible.
