At last a result to celebrate, but uncharacteristic mistakes at the back by Manga could have cost us dear
We entertain Charlton athletic on Saturday, a team known as the Addicks. My research tels me that Charlton's most common nickname is The Addicks. Among the theories on the origin of the Addicks name are that it was the south-east London pronunciation of either "haddock > ' addock" or "athletic". However, the most likely origin of name is from a local fishmonger, Arthur "Ikey" Bryan, who rewarded the team with meals of haddock and chips.
They are currently managed by Guy Luzon
We are managed by Russell Slade
TEAM NEWS
Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall is a doubt with a groin injury and could be replaced by Simon Moore.
Anthony Pilkington and Scott Malone are injured but Peter Whittingham is back from suspension.
Johann Gudmundsson and Chris Solly are expected to return from muscle strains for Charlton.
But captain Johnnie Jackson (leg) is still sidelined along with left-back Rhoys Wiggins (calf) and winger Franck Moussa (knee).

Whitts & Noone need to be rested. There is sufficient talent left in the squad to put out two or three good midfield combinations. Ralls deserves his place and Jones should certainly come in for Revell.
Will be interesting to see what happens with the bench. Will O'Keefe or Adeyemi make way for Whitts?

Kennedy also didn't exactly hide the fact he's feeling the force of a sudden run of games after sitting on the bench for so long at Everton - Charlton at home you would hope is a safe enough game to rest someone who is quickly becoming our star player.
Id put Adeyemi in alongside Ralls who deserves to keep his place.

Will Slade have the bottle to stick with the formation that scored goals on Tuesday? I hope he does, as the same old we have seen up to now just isn't good enough. Dull draws and narrow losses don't impress the paying public.
Jones for Revell, but otherwise the same players to start. I would love to see Macheda get a goal, as I think he is yet another quality player struggling to come to terms with the way we play.
Sean Morrison says we can still make the playoffs, so on the assumption that there is more confidence about the team, I'll go 2 - 0 City......

Whitts & Jones in, Ralls & Revell out. Disappointed for Ralls, but hope that Whitts can really justify his place with a vintage performance.

66% possession after 22 minutes. Should have 135% by half time at that rate.

Plenty of possession, but only one shot on target yet.
