Even with a game in hand and three home games, Sunderland are going to struggle, so for me it's them and Norwich, who are in a "group of death" of their own, for two of the relegation places. I think Fulham might get out of it and Swansea have a pretty straightforward run in, although recent form is not good.
West Brom must be worried though, so I think it will be between them and City for the third place.

When you look at it like this you realise we have a good a chance as anybody of saving ourselves BUT that's discounting the inconsistency the team have and the unquantifiable "Cardiff City Effect" of doing everything the really hard way.

poor norwich but there run in of games means nothing who would've thought Sunderland wwould draw against man city?
Our fate will go to the wire depending on if we win sat,
win on sat we have great chance of staying up
Lose and I shall go bk into negative mode

West Brom actually have 5 games left with their final game being home to Stoke. I think Sunderland and Norwich might take two of the relegation places and it might be between us and Fulham for the last spot. I have a horrible feeling that we might go into the final day of the season looking for Fulham's opponents to do us a favour.
That would be ..... Crystal Palace

Given Sunderland's excellent results this week, you have got to say that the force is with them and they have a pretty good chance of getting out of the bottom three. Three home games left, City, WBA & Swansea, plus Man Utd away.
If City don't win up there next Saturday, then I think Sunderland will overtake us before the end of the season and we will go down, regardless of what happens with Norwich & WBA.
Going back to when Poyet was appointed manager, I tipped Sunderland to finish above City and I fear that is going to come back to haunt.

If results go our way, three points against Sunderland will drag us over the line. It would be right but beating Sunderland would give them a hell of a lot of ground to make up, and their run ins make it plausible that Norwich and Fulham could run in with 0 points.
Two wins would make things way more comfortable. Chelsea could have nothing to play for on the last day of the season if the title is already lost and a champions league place is assured. Just picture it - Mourinho sends out a team of fringe players to start prepping for next season while City put out a full strength side desperate for survival. Or maybe the consistently petty deliberately weakens the starting XI purely because a Cardiff win would condemn Sunderland, the team that killed their title charge and broke his record?

Unfortunately City won't gain another point. Who will go down with them I believe it will be Norwich and Fulham.
Next season won't be a walk in the park either.
Unless the hierarchy get their act together we could struggle in the Championship.
And that's being optimistic.

Not dark or depressing, just realistic.
Having followed the City for 60 odd years it's not rocket science to know what's going to happen.
Although I believe City, Norwich and Fulham will make the drop, it wouldn't surprise me if Fulham survive as they did in '62. That time it was at City's cost. History repeating itself.

There's three games left in the season of a sport we are supposed to watch for fun. No matter what happens after them lets try and enjoy them while they are here. As you said yourself we don't know how long it will be till we are back if we don't stay up. What's the point of watching if you don't enjoy it?
