This bit made me chuckle

"Why do you have to do stupid things and be influenced by people who have done things (that are) not right for the club?

(I wonder if that was a dig at annis Tan May Leave If Abuse Gets Worse 4228682415 )

It does sound a bit like a dig but I'd be surprised if Anus was even on Tan's radar.

Unfortunately, Tan's statement is laying down the gauntlet for the knuckle-dragging element of our club.

It's funny, there's an article running on bbc sport written by the guy who conducted Tans interview the other day. It's very complimentary - he mentions a Malaysian man having nothing but praise when the reporter told him he was going to see Vincent Tan. At an 'appreciation day' which is also Tans birthday, set up by his son who runs one of his businesses, he mentions Vincent Tan arrived before half the staff and helped with preparations and that it is not unusual. And he mentioned for the interview Tan arrived perfectly on time, alone, and never once refused to answer a question or tried to demand an answer wasn't published. He came across as a perfectly decent man.

Makes me think more and more it's a culture issue - the boss is the boss where Tan is from and is never questioned. Unfortunately he is also stubborn and bad made his fortune that way - he won't budge even now he's learning British people don't just lie back and take it.

I think he's a businessman who is finding it difficult to transpose his normal "business methods" to such an emotive and tribal industry that has no absolute guarantee of a return.

I read the interview and had mixed thoughts on it. In some ways he does come across as reasonable, astute and fair yet other times hot-headed, naive and stubborn.

I certainly don't dislike him by any means, but I probably wouldn't give him my last Rolo either.

I find myself pretty much agreeing, but I'm wondering more and more whether that bit we see as hot headed and stubborn is actually just how business is ran in the Far East.

I don't want him as owner longer than we have to, purely because he's proven he will never truly understand how football and it's fans work in this country. But I can at least maybe understand him a bit more the more effort I make.

Yup, fair point. I know bugger all about Far East culture and business practices so it could very well be.
