Thoughts on Jones then?

What did everyone think?
I thought he was superb, held the ball up well and his flick on's actually went to our players. Great finish too.
Master class in defending corners too - he won 6 or 7 corners in a row I heard the commentary team say.

Immense performance today.
He appears to be the target man we have been crying out for for two and a half seasons. Took a little while for everyone to decide on the pace they needed to play at, but the team, like Jones got better as the game went on.
Defensively a great asset also.......

I also thought he was great today, a great asset and a player with lots of premier league experience which will hopefully help keep us up this season.
Well done Kenwyne

Very encouraging start. Looked much stronger than Campbell. Some excellent headers and lay-offs. Will certainly get better when his match fitness improves. Looked totally knackered at the final whistle.

Thought he was great, as you a have said won headers time and time again at both ends of the pitch. I think he will play really well with Campbell

Chico desperately needs a good showing up. Anyone else see him getting Andy Carroll sent off yesterday? They both went up for a header and got tangled up, and as they came apart Carroll's hand brushed Chico's face. Chico went down like he'd been shot and Carroll saw a red card.

The Oscar for Best Actor in a Drama must go to Snodgrass on yesterday's performance........what a disgraceful show of faking injuries.............as an old work colleague would say, acting like a typical FRISP..........

Big Sam's reaction was brilliant. He just laughed in Chico's face! Chico appeared to be really put out by it.

That was a rerun of when Flores did exactly the same thing when Wet Spam played in Swansea. Don't think Sam was so amused yesterday.

The signs against Swansea are very good. They couldn't put a agile shot on target against West Ham even after Carroll got sent off, and their defence is guilty this season of messing about and getting caught. One of the mots commentators said that Swansea seem to of forgotten that possession doesn't win games - goals do.

I don't wish to hijack ( ) this thread, but as the Swans have already been mentioned, was wondering if anyone heard the BBC Wales sports phone in after the game yesterday. We were listening to the programme on the way home from the game and couldn't believe what we were hearing when in an interview Laudrup stated that he didn't know Emnes and hadn't seen him but was aware that he was highly regarded at Swansea. Eyebrows have already been raise at some of their recent signings, especially Ngog, and there have been a number of comments about the breakdown in relationships between Manager and Chairman, and now this revelation. WHO is signing the players for the Jacks these days?
