His first touch his genuinely sublime, one of the finest I've seen and that also compares him against Ronaldo and Messi. It doesn't seem to matter whether the ball comes in high or low or how fast it comes, he produces some sort of magic that leaves it sat dead at his feet.
His passing is everything it should be it a defensive midfielder - safe and direct. You don't want him to be lobbing ambitious balls over the defence , you just want him to spot the weak spot and begin the play in that direction, and he does that flawlessly.
Then there's his tackling. My favourite memory of his play thus far was the Everton game, when they started clobbering Kim at every opportunity. Medel responded by kicking the crap out of that player at the next opportunity. It's not exactly fair, but it does make a City side that have been soft in the past suddenly appear as one not to be messed with.

I was concerned that his reputation would precede him, but he has been impressive and settled in remarkably well.

I believe that MM has made the statement that Medel could turn out to be the best player city have ever signed. Praise enough for me.
