Bale to require surgery

The true reason Bale has been missing from Wales action has emerged, if Spanish newspapers are to be believed. According to Marca, Bale has a badly slipped disc, which will require surgery and sideline him for some time. Curiously, Madrid spotted this problem developing during his medical, but even that couldn't stop their interest.

In my eyes, it's either true and Madrid are trying to save face by denying it , or Bale is fit and Real Madrid have forked out for the worlds most expensive benchwarmer...
