When the city was not doing very well, I kinda adopted Liverpool as a 2nd club, just to keep any eye what was happening in the 1st Division and other cup competitions, now I have adopted Orient has my 2nd team to follow, just to keep an eye/ interest in the lower leagues, has anyone else done same.

This season has really changed the way I think about other games in the premiership that I watch on TV. I wanted Man U to beat Palace and almost cheered when they went 1 up which I never thought, would enter my thought process.
Firstly, welcome to the forum colourblind, always nice to see a new face.
I've lived in Cheltenham for nearly ten years on and off so like to keep an eye on how they are doing. Like Cardiff, they seem to fall at the last hurdle when promotion seems inevitable.

Keeping an eye on the Cewnty scores this season.
It's taking a while to get used to looking at the Premier League scores/results rather than the Championship.

My dad supports Leyton Orient so always keep an eye on them. As for others I will keeping a small eye on Yeovil Town for the sheer romance of it, and they wear green which is my favourite colour and not enough teams wear it.

Likewise for me I've adopted Newport as a second team. Interestingly I've had to keep the fact I'm a Cardiff fan quiet because a small niche of them see that as me belittling Newport. Football fans, huh?
Also as I said in another topic I have a Bristol Rovers supporting friend so I have a loose interest in their performances too.

Although I haven't gone so far as making a formal adoption yet, I am sort of "fostering" Coventry this season. A team well-stitched up by bad ownership and finding themselves where they shouldn't be. Even with the 10 point deduction, I expect them to make the playoffs....Come On the Other CCFC!!!!!!

They have my heart for overtaking Bristol City after only seven games, despite starting the season 10 points behind themTDA wrote:Although I haven't gone so far as making a formal adoption yet, I am sort of "fostering" Coventry this season. Bit of a theme going on here as I look for the Cewnty first - never understood why a lot of them hate us. It's not as if we're rivals!
Also look out for Bristol Rovers and Hereford.

That's exactly what bothers them I think, it's a little man complex on a large scale.Cyncoedslumdog wrote:Bit of a theme going on here as I look for the Cewnty first - never understood why a lot of them hate us. It's not as if we're rivals!

My son and I always look our for Newport and Wrexham results, just because they are Welsh teams and we want them to do well, just not as well as us.
The jacks are welsh too ponty! Do you keep an eye for them too?PontyBlue wrote:My son and I always look our for Newport and Wrexham results, just because they are Welsh teams and we want them to do well, just not as well as us.
