Damn! It was easier to dislike them imagining them as good Aryans trampling over everybody !

probably decided they needed to go down the route of using german-qualified players rather than 'germans' ever since the days when carsten jancker was their main striker. He was awful!

Most Germans aren't German. I worked in Dresden for a while and they consider themselves Saxon and despise 'Greater Germany'. And the Saxon thing is interesting as your typical English country boy would love to be described as Saxon.
