...doesn't appear to be too popular:

A 14,000 petition knocks anything that KCB have managed into a cocked something-or-other. Even more impressive when it seems the main issue is the dropping of the Latin motto.
I think the new badge looks quite nice. They should try ours for size!

Some fans don't know their born! That badge is a Picasso next to our Little Jimmy, aged 6 from Whitchurch Primary School attempt.

You failed to mention that our Little Jimmy only has one eye and very little coordination with that to his one good hand.

I didn't want to play the sympathy card.

This is change for changes sake. I think I would sign a petition against such a petty and unnecessary change.

it's yet more commercialisation of clubs to the detriment of tradition, history and most importantly what the fans want. clearly they have added 'everton' for branding purposes to add more of a product feel so it's recognisable like kit kat and nescafe.
it raises a question for the average football fan, would you rather keep with tradition and stay on the higher ground or move with the times and lose a bit of soul. tough one to answer for me tbh

As people have said, it's not THAT bad. It's not as good as their old one but it's not a disaster. The petition is a club and fans PR nightmare, they are currently managerless and had virtually no cash, yet all they care about is the badge.

That's not quite true; they care that they are managerless and don't have a pot to piss in and see the badge change as a "last straw." Still now that his human shield (Moyes) has gone, the pressure is on "Bullshit Billy!"

Everton apologising for not consulting widely enough:

More consultations promised for the following season. It will be interesting to see how the badge evolves. Can't help thinking Cardiff could learn some lessons on consultation (although consultation doesn't necessarily bring consensus).
