Yes, I find that quite rich tbh.
McPhail has been drawing a wage from us for the last two season with City picking up the medical bills too. Would have thought he would have been a bit more grateful.

He was told he would be involved, it didn't materialise, and that's disappointing.....but he must surely realise it didn't materialise because of a combination of the team's performance and needs, together with his own personal performance and fitness. There are never, ever, any guarantees of involvement in professional sport.

I have read the article too, and I dont think he was having a pop at anyone. Its natural that he feels disappointed. All in all a well balanced set of comments from a class act!
Good luck Macca!

It's another strange one this, a bit like Velcro. There was plenty of positive press enjoyed the club this season, in that they were giving McPhail all the time and support that he needed and that he had a part to play, perhaps in a coaching role. I seem to recall that he appeared on the bench with the coaching staff at a number of reserve / youth games......CyncoedS-Dog will probably be able to clarify that.
So it seems to me that he was happy to "help out" even when he wasn't fit enough to play, to give something back to the club that was supporting him, but then it seems that his release came as a bit of a shock.
That doesn't strike me as particularly good man-management on the part of Malky.
We have seen similar with Earnie and maybe we will again with Velcro...the SuperKev contract situation is also starting to look devisive....
Football is a pretty rotten game anyway, but I'd hate to think that Cardiff will get a reputation for freezing players out.....
