I've got to admit, I fancy a sneaky bet on Mourinho being poached by United before Chelsea get a chance...

That's what I have always said.......Moyes out of contract....it could happen Alex Ferguson To Retire By End Of Week 2925389657

In reality, if Malky wanted to go, so be it and good luck to him. There would be plenty of candidates for the City job now.......

That's not a bad shout Red.......again, a question of fortuitous timing.

got a lot of time for fergie one of the great managers. there are very few guys who could have held down one of the top jobs in football for 25 years

Sir Alex had been quoted saying that he thinks very highly of José - with Roman's tendency to sack his managers regularly, a stable job at the most successful club in England could be very attractive indeed.

Also, I can't see why Malky would want to go to Everton to be honest. Yes, they are a bigger club - but he certainly wouldn't have the financial backing that he would have here. Plus, he would have to prove himself all over again too with the risk of losing his job.

I can't see him moving on to be honest.

I'd like to think that Malky was the type of chap to see a mission through. He has the complete trust and open wallet of the owner here, which is pretty damned unique......

However, when the big boys come calling, strange things happen.....

He's staying on as a director and ambassador though... whilst this is good, the new guy will surely be living in Sir Alex's considerable shadow.
