This is a shameless attempt to earn 50 credits, but I noticed the other day that the 'Shameless' series is still running - I must admit I thought it had gone to the knackers yard, and it should have been pulled about three series ago. I watched it regularly for about five series, it was great with the likes of James McAvoy and Ann Marie Duff in the cast, but then it got increasingly boring and silly.
Or does anyone think it still cuts the mustard?
Any other series on TV that have just gone on too long and don't know when to quit? (Other than, obviously, the likes of Corrie and Eastenders)

I was shot down in flames when I mentioned it before, but Homeland should have only been one season IMO.
I don't think The Walking Dead can be taken much further either.
Don't get me started on Lost.

Absolutely 100% agree. Series one was brilliant, one of the best things to be on TV. Series two, what the feck was that about?
Skins is another that comes to mind.

Stopped watching Shameless after baout series 4, used to love it though. Lost, as G-Ster said, went on too far and as much as I liked 24 it got more and more ridiculous and I got fed up of that after about season 4.

I always felt this series was just an excuse to show lots of picturesque Yorkshire countryside (with accompanying quaint accents). It wouldn't have gone beyond series one if it had been set in Ellesmere Port.Valley Trash wrote:Last of the summer wine..... Last of the summer wine..... Last of the summer wine..... .....
