For anybody in front of the tv but not watching - Spurs game going to penalties in a couple of minutes (ITV).

Should never of been the case, at least in the case of spurs equaliser. Horrific, horrific goalkeeping from a shot that even I could of stopped. And I was a horrible goalkeeper.

Typical Adebayor. Ambled up and spooned it over the bar. Clown.

Freidel didn't stand a chance with any of the Basel penalties.
Adebayor's was indeed shocking.

What exactly is it people see in Adebayor? I'm hard pushed to find a lazier player in football right now. His idea of pressuring a defender is simply to stand roughly around them but not make any effort towards the ball, and while he will at least run after a long ball if a defender is any less than a stride behind him he just gives in.

He was good at Arsenal, but then he got greedy and decided the football world owed him a living. As a follower of Spurs for many years, I would be glad to see the back of him.....Defoe may be hit and miss, but at least he works for the team, and is worth three times as much.

Adebayor has been a major disappointment at Spurs, considering the player he was at Arsenal.
I think he actually lost his appetite for the game after the ambush of the Togo national side's bus in 2010. He's not been the same player since.

Considering Adebayor's played for Arsenal, Man City, Real Madrid and now Spurs, it's a career seemingly based on what he 'might' do, rather than actual end-product on a regular basis.
An undoubtedly gifted player, but sometimes you only get rewarded for putting the effort in.
