I'm happy to be corrected by anyone whose memory cells are deteriorating at a slower rate than mine, but I don't recall either at last week's game or last night the usual reminder from Ali that 'there's still time to vote for your man of the match'.
Might this be because the collective performance of the team was so dire that they risked getting no votes at all? Or possibly a recognition at long last that the result when announced more no resemblance to what had gone on on the pitch and suggested that the names were being drawn out of a hat?

You're right, I don't recall it being mentioned either.
On a separate note - all hail the new clock!

Not just a new clock, bigger numbers and, far more importantly, both clocks now start the second half from 45 minutes - no more frantic mental conversions!G-ster wrote:You're right, I don't recall it being mentioned either.

That is a massive clock.... It's a bit like James Bond's LED watch from 'Live and Let Die' and the same size as I remember it from the 'big' screen in the Market Hall cinema in Brynmawr....

Bigger than The Colonel's colossal wrist-mounted sundial?
