The epitome of graphic sophistication, in comparison with the old tennis game that consisted of manouevring white bars up and down the edge of a black screen to deflect a white dot back to the opponent. At the time it opened a whole new world of entertainment.
I remember when my dad first brought home a pocket calculator in the 60s, we just thought that was so amazing.
OK, now I feel old.

What on earth were some of those monstrosities?! My first football game was World Cup '98. Man, I loved that. Also bringing home the European Championship with a full campaign as Wales on Euro 2000. Dean Saunders was something else on that game I can tell you. And to think that EA have been fleecing me annually ever since!

Where are the classic manager games?
There was a football manager game that was half board game. You told the computer what players and how much money you had and it gave you the result.

Ah Pocketeers Trash! I used to spend hours playing the Golf version. You could fit the pieces together to make different holes of the course. If the pieces were in a straight line with the hole though you could ignore all the hazards and aim straight for the hole.
These memories are bringing on cravings for fruit salad sweets and sherbert lemons though
