Been a while, but match day is nearly here. Tricky game this one, but I take to City to grind out at a point if conditions don't get better......0 - 0.

A frustrating 45 minutes.
Bellamy has been impressive as ever, and as long as he can calm down he should definetely stay on.
Conway is a diver. Hard working maybe, but he's happier to go down than risk a run and I dont like it. Right wing again seems ineffective.
Kim is back to his old 'one too many fancy touches' method, and has given away the ball dangerously or wasted chances because of it.
Whittingham, honestly, has been pretty dire from what ive seen. Created nothing from dead balls, and has passed to absolutely no one numerous times.
Smith has been quiet, he should drop back to right wing and get rid of Conway. Campbell should then go up front and score a hat trick, obviously.
Overall, play needs to be tighter. Too sloppy, with too many passes being wasted. Slow it down, control play more.

City don't look in any trouble to me. I think they can see this one through quite comfortably. I fancy Bellamy to finally spring the offside trap and score. This would actually be a good game to see Noone early on, perhaps for Conway and Campbell for Smith at some point.....

Luckily, no goal.
I thought it was a harsh decision. Looked more like an interception than a backpass.
Brilliant save by Marshall shortly afterwards, it was one of those "he must score" moments. Phew!

I think the pass was definetely aimed at Marshall, thats different to just sticking your foot in the way and it rebounding at him. Either way though as we both said, that awesome save made up for it.
And quite right they're in no trouble, I forgot to highlight Turner as having an outstanding game in which we're shutting out their attack giving them no clear chances. Why its frustrating is if we tightened up, we could put 2 or 3 past them I'm sure.

Kim point more obviously demonstrated - He has the ball in the penalty box, takes one too many touches...and kicks it out of play.

Aaarrgh...some decent pressure by City but then ball given away cheaply.
Bit more encouraging though.

Indeed much better. Disappointed not to see Lappin, Taylor is quite guilty of providing very little going forward again. And I promised I wouldnt mention Conway again - but come on, get him off.G-ster wrote:Aaarrgh...some decent pressure by City but then ball given away cheaply.

News! Campbell potentially warming up to come on?

Indeed Campbell has made his debut, replaces Kim, interestingly...
Are we seeing the 4-3-3 emerge?

............Oh, would have taken Conway off personally, rather than Kim.
