Joe Lewis turned his ankle also when warming up before the game.

Looked very much like Ninian Park used to at this time of the season, mid-70s....
I will always remember Ron Saunders, the AV manager walking out of the tunnel pre-match and signing "Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside......" because of the amount of sand on it.
However, 40 years on, it is difficult to see why a team that has been recently Premiership has such a problem.

There's no way that game should of been played today, not with the state of the pitch. There were giant holes in parts of the playing field for god sake. Injuries are always more common on a frozen pitch where every tumble hurts that much more, but when we have players tripping over divots bigger than the football it's just downright dangerous. I just consider it lucky no one was seriously hurt really.

Fair to say that Blackpool don't spend any money they don't have to. In years to come they might find themselves back in the depths of the league, with League of Wales facilities, wondering where the Premier League money went.

God that's what happened? I heard lots of people laughing and joking about 'breaking the stand' but I never knew part of it full on collapsed. This from a team that were in the premiership two years ago?

I was listening on the radio and they were apologising for any offense caused as the mikes were so close to the away fans.
"You're just a sh*t Barry Island" could be heard loud and clear amongst others

If you listen really carefully, you can even hear Blackpool's zipper being undone as it drops it's trousers ready for the council...
