With Adele looking an Oscar cert for Skyfall are there any songs from your musical cupboards that you think would've made bostin' Bond themes... John Barry-esque strings or arrangements or just tracks which are evocative of 007... This could be a tough one chaps but I believe you're up to it...

Hmmm this is tricky.
So far i just have this - the strings could be Bondesque but it lacks a bit of pace and oomph - top song though.

Nice work as always Toastie There is a short string section which is full on Bond but it doesn't build on it... Great track though
Can't post a link as I'm on my mobile but Play Dead by Bjork always struck me as suitably dramatic and Bondage. Anybody be so kind as to put it up for me? Free snowball if you do...
...oh wait, I didn't mean THAT kind of snowball.

Strings maybe not so Bond like and no lyrics but what a great title for a Bond song.

I'm a big fan of David Holmes from back in the day when he was a DJ, I'm sure he's done a number of cinematic scores... Great title... Could be a Welsh Bond... Don't die just yet... Do it now in a minute

Man this takes me back a school disco supergroup Although from the valleys I do not have to live with the regret and shame of a late seventies / early eighties shaggy perm as modelled by herberts wearing denim jackets with the 'Rainbow Rising' album cover embroided by their mam's on the jacket back panel

Ah i love it when this happens.
Started off thinking about this thread and ended up doing a google search for more inspiration.
Not found anything Bondesque but have now discovered a band called The Cinematic Orchestra who sound well worth checking out.
Cheers Trash

I really like the cinematic orchestra, I'm sure they've been around years and used to do gigs with DJ Food on Ninja tunes nights.... I also remember a Welsh link too... I am trying to remember Mixmag articles from a particularly sketchy period of my life though so I'm probably wrong

Taken from Wikipedia....
"In addition to Swinscoe, the band includes former DJ Food member PC (Patrick Carpenter) on turntables,...."
"Swinscoe first formed a group called Crabladder in 1990, whilst studying Fine Art at Cardiff College, releasing one official single on his own Power Tools label..."
The memory is not totally shot yet Trash
