Says Burnley....

Yeah right, we have heard that from previous city regimes - if someone comes in with a big enough offer, (i.e VT) I'm sure they would sell up.

Rhodes went for about 6 million after add ons didn't he? You'd have to value him about the same.
I'd cry with happiness if we signed him, I'll be honest.

I sadly think a club in the lower realms of the Premiership will get him and then in Spring he will be sad as he watches us pass him on the stairs

Unfortunately I think you're right. Burnley will not want to sell him to another championship side, but they might be more open to offers from other leagues. He's also proving he'a too good for the championship anyway. I think best case scenario for us is they hold onto him in January, and we'll put in a bid for him in the summer if we get promoted. I'd personally still prefer Rhodes, but since he's only just signed with Blackburn it would take a hell of a lot of money to get him out of the contract.

I remember when he was at Swindon, he was quoted at being chuffed to be linked with Cardiff City. Another Noone scenario perhaps? Where he wants to come but money is the sticking point....

I think he'll move to Real Madrid to be honest. Maybe a more realistic option is Benzema on loan?

I would love to see him sign for us but with Malky refusing to over pay for any player out there , I feel this is 1 bidding war Malky will stay away from.
