I can't believe how expensive Arsenal are? It amazes me that their fans are still willing to pay almost double everyone else!

Well the add-ons, like food and drink, aren't cheap. But football isn't cheap to watch. Comparatively we aren't bad though and unfortunately we have to do it or the club won't be financially viable

You see, I think teams like Newcastle have got it right. They've got a great stadium with a potentially large support but largely indifferent recent success (they haven't won anything or really been challenging for some time). So, they make their cheapest ticket £15 and most expensive £70 (still cheaper than the cheapest at Wembley) which all but guarantees a good turnout every week.

I remember during the start of Sparky's reign as Wales manager, the Welsh FA trialled a £10 a ticket scheme and the Millennium was nearly filled. Even if the team is doing badly (which, let's face it, it is) £10 isn't a huge ask to watch a game. I remember I even managed to convince my then girlfriend to come along to a match as it wouldn't put her out of pocket that much (and was I fudge going to pay for her! ). To play in front of packed out stadiums is only going to benefit a team, especially one as flaky as Wales who need all the help they can get.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember the Welsh FA hiked the prices back up as soon as the results started coming and for about two years we were the best supported nation in Europe. Problem was, when the results went away again so did the crowds as nobody wanted to pay £20-25 to see dross again and as such now the team plays at the CCS, Liberty and Racecourse as they can't fill the Millennium. It just seems a shame to me that we've got a big state of the art stadium that remains empty for football when a bit more foresight could actually fill the thing and generate interest in Welsh football again.

You have to ask would you prefer to pay £10 to see Wales at the Millennium Stadium or £20 at the CCS?
