Is 'At least they're not Swansea fans' an appropriate defence of the statement?

I will say this for the plastics. Most of us support the team nearest to the place we were born, which is hardly imaginative. Your glory hunter? Well he picks a team that wins becasue he never does. He's filled a gap in his life with his team. While we have all created a gaping chasm of despair in ours.

Shitebuckets...never thought of it like that. No wonder I'm so ruddy depressed all the time.

Don't worry. I've never met a plastic who actually picked his team. It turns out every single one of them is the child of parents who thought the very best thing to do on the day their child is due to be born is go on a day trip to Liverpool or the nephew of the man who lost his ticket on the Munich flight in spurios circumstances or the grand child of a Chelsea Pensioner or some other such bull s**t.

What do you think pixie? (feels weird addressing you by a girls name, but each to their own I guess)
