pay us £100 million and we'll stay!!
It seems they are willing to do whatever we want to keep us and I cant blame them, we are their biggest source of income and we're their highest profile customer probably.
It seems like a good deal - they will build all that we need, we can buy it and they will manage it!
"they can buy it, and we will manage and maintain pitches to ensure they stay in the best condition."
I think they should go for it! If they do own the facility, the blues will become our tenants again  bit of extra income though

Shows the know it alls, actually know nothing again! How many posts did we get banging on about us already having top quality training groud, so the malaysians were just going to waste money, looking to buy a new training ground.
When in fact we only have one pitch to train on. The malaysians are looking to build our club up from the bottom, by investing it the future. Hardly the actions on someone trying to make a quick buck. Thats why they have my full support.

I think it makes sense for the club to have their own training facility that includes pitches for the academy/development team matches as well.
Having their own asset will also help the club’s balance sheet, and remove the expenditure of £250k+ PA from the losses being reported.
The Vale are acting in self-interest.

The Malaysians know what a balance sheet is and how to manipulate it.

Spot on. If the Malaysians were looking to make a quick buck then they wouldn't have invested so much time and money so far. A conman joins a marketing dream of a club like Liverpool, draws out the profits from merchandise sales and other commercial ventures and then ties the loans to the club leaving the club with a mountain of debt, just as those two Americans did.
If the Malaysians were in it to con people or gain mass profit quick they certainly wouldn't have invested in us.

This is among the most positive of intentions so far put forward by VT. It clearly suggests a long term commitment. It came as surprise to many of us that the Vale was not quite up to standard but clearly it is not fit for PL status. Obviously Gerald would not want to lose the City and this may be a negotiating ploy to get him to commit to state of the art facilities that befit our ambitions - we shall see.
Having heard the news about our part in the Ystrad Mynach sports complex on the back of last year's investments in the Treforest academy I'm not sure how all of this fits together but whatever it's clear that we are looking for the best facilities in which to develop youngsters and coach the senior players. All encouraging stuff!

It's great news and seems like a win win situation to me! We own it and they maintain it! Low cost of building just the pitches also!

I can't see them selling the training facilities to us as the last thing Gerald Leek would want is to sell land on his rather big portfolio/golfing ground and anyway have you ever been to the vale training ground the building is only 3 years old and it falling to pieces i certainly hope Malky doesn't take the offer.BigREDbird wrote:It's great news and seems like a win win situation to me!
