Heard this on the radio today... Took me straight back to being turned down by ropey lasses for a slow dance during the 'erection selections' at the end of Comp Discos... Normal routine was to take the rejection stoically, bow slightly and then the walk of shame back to my bottle of panda pops and half eaten packet of space dust...
What songs were there to cut you down when you were in school?

Danced to this with the cutest girl I've ever seen, Kassiopi Corfu about 1984. Afterwards under the moonlight we kissed.
Thought it was going to be the start of a beautiful holiday romance.
Next morning she flew home..................to Birmingham.
Bugger.
Did your Mam pack your suitcase perchance?
Belted chunky knits will do that to a girl...
By the 80s I had wrestled control of at least some of my wardrobe from my Mum.
Corfu 1984 was white jeans, espadrilles (without socks, obviously) and my sleeveless Adam and the Ants T-shirt.
I was looking cool.
Ahh, holiday romances are the best. You always end up finding the most gorgeous girl ever, fall in love and have you heart broken all in one special week at butlins, rhyl.
I know your pain SBM, I really do.

Surely it's against the laws and mores of the universe not to have... (even if the video was filmed in London)
I'll see your Dexys and raise you a JoBoxers
