YouTube is filled after every match day with videos of people doing just that, and it's one of the (admittedly many) things footballers are getting up to that garners the games bad name. If you don't need to fall over, don't fall over. If you are tripped at high speed you're going to stumble at the very least and the referee should be trusted to see that. But to turn a tap into the sort of thing Bale, and apparently Ramsey ( I didn't see the full game so can't comment on that one) did, is emberassing.

I'm not just picking on Wales. Welbeck and Young are c***s as well that inu had my way would be banned from playing for England until they learn to play fairly. I've been at school football matches and overheard the manager tell the players 'don't tackle that guy, he's a diver and he'll go down if you go anywhere near him. Just try and block him without contact and only tackle if you absolutely have to'. At a school game. Played by twelve year olds. It's ridiculous and needs to stop being considered 'just part of the game'.

04:30 mins of the highlights video in this thread.

How about the rugby tackle on Craig Davies which nobody seems to have mentioned. It was a blatant penalty.

I agree; it was like Jamie Carragher on Lescott in the Merseyside Derby. It beggars belief that the officials (apparently) don't see these incidents.
